My 2001 check engine light keeps coming on with the code that is an oxygen sensor. It is Bank 1 Sensor 2. Is that the one on the driver side right under the drivers seat? and how easy are they to change yourself? One mechanic I talked to said it would be $300 to fix, is this too much?
Thanks

The bank 1, sensor 2 O2 sensor is the passenger-side rear one. Very easy to replace, especially if you connect it at the harness connector in the engine bay first and "drop" it thru to the bottom.

i have a 2000 pathy. same problem, but it was bank 2 sensor 2 and it is on the driver side. bank 1 is on the passenger side on 2000 model. i took it to the dealership and they said the cost total was $345. so i went to auto zone to order the part for $80 and changed it myself in 30 minutes. its right after the converter. im not sure what the exhast layout is on 2001+ models. good luck
