so I inherited my wifes 2.0 sentra to commute in and it seems like the RPMs are way too high, when cruising at 65 they hover around 3500, I realize that it's a 4 banger but still. Should I try and reset the computer or is this normal?

it's also throwing a CEL about a possible leak in the fuel lines, which there is none visible

TIA

sounds normal to me. depends on which gear i guess and whether or not the car is gradually revving to those revs/speeds. it's a natural feel for it.. the best way to tell is if the auto tranny (if you've got one) is shifting or not, or if when you're in idle it's high revving...

in that case it could be the throttle cable being to tight. adjust it at the throttle spring's cable attachment.

Not much you can do about that, unless you want to change your gear ratios... which is expensive.
