i haven't done more than change oil on a 2001 so i guess shouldn't be the one to answer this. the pic did help alot, lol. this sensor is needed because of the use of the map sensor also i believe. they work together because the ecu needs to know the baro pressure of the area you are in to relate the readings from the map sensor to the ecu because obviously pressure readings are different at different elevations, which derectly affects map sensor reading from inside the intake mani. anyone know if this map/bar setup is used
as just a reference, or if the maf quits out or does it play more of a role than that for the fuel maps and such, anyone?
