I just came back from the dealer who is asking over $700 to replace the water pump that is making a noise due to bad bearing in my 1996 sentra gxe 1.6 liter. The dealer told me it takes 5 hours to do the job and the part cost is $113. Searching the net, i can get a pump for as little as $30 while the nissan replacement is $66. I am pretty handy with tools and am thinking of doing this on my own since the repair cost is too much to stomach.
I would really appreciate it if someone can post step by step instructions along with pictures.
Thank you very much in advance!
