thanks Kizer. I found the fsm and am currently trying to find something on the seals. after looking at the cover, it looks like I can tap out the seals from the inside out. my question now is am I suppose to put some kink of rtv or form-a-gasket around the outer rim of the seal to help it stay in. I know its pressed in but the seals have some kind of rubber around the outside of the ring (seal). I dont want it to heat up and fall out. thanks for your help.

If you can find a part in the exploded view of the engine then there should be a part # for it. Where are you located?

Well i guess you could try to put them in. But if there are none listed for the B14 I would say go to the junkyard and find another VC. Does anyone know if the VC from a b13 will fit a GA from the b14??

that is a defitnly yes i had that lousy problem dealler say 200 bucks for a new vaule C and i went through 3 set of seals and none fit what so ever so i got some liquid gasket and made my own seal untill i went to a junk yard and pulled one from a b13 body and it fit and did a great job and I like my new color on my vaule cover :D i have a 96 sentra....so you know they say that they discontinue the tube seal that why the PART NUMBER will not work that what they told me after i return the 50 dollars spark tube seal i spent 30 bucks for a new alumium VC .....and yes i dont think they were ment to be replace or not so easy on the the new vaule cover (black ones) so we have no choice to buy the WHOLE thing also i found on ebay that you can get the whole head gasket set includeing the tube seals for bout same price ... hopes this help

thanks guys. I live in the Chattanooga tn. area and the junk yards are not willing to part with just the valve cover. They want you to buy the whole engine. the dealer wants 168 bucks for a new one. so far my engine hasnt starting skipping or running bad, matter of time I guess. but there is oil inside the tubes all over the spark plugs.

I go to school down at UTC, and I'm at home at the moment (Clarksville, TN). I'll run by my local scrapyard or the Pull-A-Part in Nashville and see if I can pick you up one in decent shape. We'll have to figure out some how to rendezvous, though. On second thought, I have two spare plastic GA16DE valve covers (95+) if you want one of those, I'll never use them again. You'll need a valve cover gasket and a PCV valve, though.

This is good to know info since my VC just popped and the worst part is spark plug tube no. 2 is filled with oil about a third of the way.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can find a B13 at the junkyard tomorrow since this car is my daily driver and I drive alot. It's ridiculous to pay over $140 for a plastic VC.

Cool man! I gotta get lucky on this one.

I have read from a few folks that they've never changed the tube seals on these particular B13 VCs unlike the ones from the B14's that seem to happen once in a while. I don't see any disadvantage going this way whatsoever and further more if the seals did go in the future at least you know you can replace them easily and cheaply.

Sorry about the delay, but I've been overseas and sorting out some issues. I've still got a plastic B14 one if you want it; but I can't guarantee what condition the seals are in. You can have it, even if for just a temporary fix until you get a metal B13 one. You know the Advance Auto on Ringgold Road? I can meet you up there sometime after 5 on Sunday.
