What all could I do to help gain back power that I am sure has been lost due to the engine's age? I have flushed everything, changed the oil completely etc... Also would it be a good idea just to drop a new engine in? If so what one that will bolt directly up to everything now or will require few extra parts.

I did search... I asked for answers not orders. I do use the search quite often, I just always can't find anything relevant.

if this isnt your daily driver or the engine is out, i would suggest just poping it open and checking how clean the internals are. my money would be on its got alot of grime in side of it and this sucks up your gas and what not. clean your TB and intake manifold, clean up the head and valves. and then use all new gaskets and lube (mobile 1 for engine, redline for tranny) when you put it back together. not much else. and just an FYI.....those cleaners you run through your engine mixed in with the furl dont work to well and can damage the injectors.
