My friend with an RSX says that his injen intake is causing his catalytic converter to rattle...is this possible?? Thinking about it rationally to me it sounds stupid like he needs to tighten his cat...i dunno tho

Actually, the WAI setup on the RSX is really close to the exhaust manifold(yes, on the same side), so it doesn't sound impossible at all. As for the rattle, maybe it's the heatshield that comes with the injen.

I don't think it's likely(it's not that close to the intake, even though it is on the same side). What I think is happening is that the heatshield supplied with the injen is rattling because of broken welds(a known problem with the injen for the RSX).

What I meant by different sides of the engine, was that one is an intake part and the other is an exhaust part. I wasent talking about physical locations. I would check out the Injen for the source of the rattle. If the two parts dont touch(I would hope not) then I can not see how the Injen could cause the cat to rattle.
