Guys,

I did search a good biut and found some interesting topics, but I am a bit confused.

I have a 2005 Pathfinder SE with Auto Climate Control. The front fan just quit working, the rear one works fine. I see a lot of talk about a resistor, but that seems to mostly be for fans stuck on high and for older models. I then saw some stuff on a fan motor amp, but not much info on where it is located etc.

I checked all fuses, they are all fine, I tried manual and auto mode and no fan. SInce the fan has quit it did kick back in once today when my wife was driving it, but it is now back off.

Any help would be appreciated as to where to start on this.

Is the vehicle still under warranty?

Is so, just take it in to the dealer.

If not, now might be a good time to invest in a shop manual (book or cd), if available.

Start simple...fuses first, then relays, use test lights or voltmeter to check voltages at the connector pins. Obviously worst case is you need a new blower unit, but make sure it is getting the power it needs.

You might have to take apart the glove box, but the more troubleshooting you can do may save you money down the road.
