Been reading the posts on the power valve failures. Talked with the two nissan dealers in town and they told me my q35 engine didn't pertain to the service bulletin. However, further research and I found the posts for the 01-04 pathfinder power valves screws. This really concerns me. My pathy only has 23,700 miles on it and plan to have it for a long time. Does anyone know the estimate on what it would cost me to have these screws checked and loctited? The dealerships I've spoken to can't give me an estimate cuz they haven't done one. Should I avoid the dealerships and go to a third party?
One more thing, how detailed a job is this situation? Thanks..These forums are the best ever.

After seeing all these posts, I opened up my 01 intake plenum to check for the power valve screws. They were tight.. none was loose.. Not sure if this is really a issue at all.. I have 112 K miles, original owner

Tell that to the guys who have had screws sucked through a cylinder and now have ruined engines.
