[Recently purchased aforementioned vehicle.
No mil lite on, haven't searched for codes.
Looks like original NG plugs are slightly glazed and somewhat worn.
...tried injector cleaner and higher octane to no avail.
Best described by me as a 'surging '@ about 45-55 mph.
Idle, accl., overall performance seems fine.
Any help to a redneck from WV would be most appreciated!

Thanks All,

TCM

injector cleaner is bad for our injectors because of the ceramic element.

sounds like (if it's automatic) it might be a tranny issue. Any check engine light?

Thanks Mike,

I put 4 new Champs in it as opposed to ng's @ 18 each.
The owners manual showed a different # for the plugs that were in it...ng.
The new ones were about a 1/4 `' longer than the original, if they were.
The carbon in the bottom threads in the head where the old ones didn't reach took some cleaning in and out so they would seat easily.
So, evidently, the fuel wasn't being ignited correctly being that far away from the mixture. Runs smooth as silk.
Again,
TCM
