I have a 2001 Frontier SC Crew Cab 4x4 with a very bizarre problem. Last winter a transmission leak started that fixed itself and hasn't come back since until this winter. It doesn't leak much, perhaps a couple ounces a day.

I found the source of the leak and it is coming up through one of the wiring harnesses, through the insulation and dripping down from above. I'm not kidding and as strange as this sounds, I double checked several times.

What's even crazier is the wiring harness starts down below somewhere and comes UPWARD to where this is dripping near the passenger fender in between the battery (front) and firewall. So the fluid is literally defying gravity.

In this image you can see the end of the jacket where the red, black and white wire exit. The fluid is coming out of the wire jacket, gravity pulls it down to about where the red arrow is, and it drops off the wire where you can see the transmission fluid pooling.

This picture shows the wires, they travel down to the wheel well then join the huge bundle of wires which travel down and behind the firewall.

This pic shows the location of the wire within the engine bay. The wire is in between the two red dots.

This has got to be the strangest thing I've ever seen.
