Fan removal?

is there any way i can remove just the fan. i got a massive water leak yesterday, i am trying to tear things down to see what it is. it looks to be coming from the water pump area or the piping just above it. i am trying to remove the fan to get more room to work in.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Your posted in the Z32 section but don't you have a Z31?

Well his car says 91 TT so I will assume.

You can take the fan out, first you have to remove the shroud which is bolted with two bolts up top and two on the bottom, the first step is to remove the lower piece of the shroud first which is snapped into the upper/bigger piece, so once you remove the lower piece from underneath you can pull up the upper pieve out the top, then the fan is secured with 4 bolts to the pulley. it has a pressure fit so it might be a little hard to pull out.

Did you look at his SN? And why I asked the question in the first place. If it is a Z32 then westpak is correct.

thanks for the help.

the leak was from one of the front bypass water hoses, i replaced both of them though.

its a 91 300zx which would be a z32 and the sn is z13 not z31.
