Mass Air Flow sensor. It's the black thing right above the air filter in the pic. You can't quite see the plug with all the wires going to it, but it's where the thing with the red label is off to the right side of the black thing.

thanks alot
Aftermarket BOV's are a waste of money on a Z or any MAF equipped car. Save your money and put it into something that will make your car faster. The stock compressor bypass valves are huge and have the capacity to handle large turbos and high boost.

BOV's will cause stalling at light throttle and on overrun.

So I noticed I was running mine last night and it likes to go down to about 700 RPM then run like a rough cam does at idle lol Never dies though, just for a about 2 seconds though then we are back in action

You had problems with yours Jake? Mine is fine dude, I backed my fuel down a little at idle but that was b/c I had a hot starting problem(I need to replace the fpr). Even before I did that I had no problems running rich after I got off the gas when I put mine on.

Im using the Apex Integration Bov and it works great.

Stillen still sells them in a kit for the Z32- I dont know what it runs though.
I know Mike already said this, but the stock bypass valves are fine, One of my friends is running T28s on a 3.1 at around 18-22 psi and he was using the stock Bypass valves up until like 3 weeks ago.

I'm thinking the spring setting is too soft. Tighten it up a bit, if it's adjustable. The BOV should only be open during a high vacuum spike in the intake mani, such as during a high rpm shift. Set it for about 17-18 Hg, idle vac should be around 14-16 depending on altitude. That should give it some leeway for midrange rpm shifting. High rpm vac spikes can go to 22 Hg or more. Determine your idle vacuum first, and then set the spring to a touch higher tension using a vacuum gun, if you have one. Cheap enough at the local auto parts store.

I use stock bypass valves at 575 whp and wil lcontinue to use them as I go for 650 whp. BOV's are rice mods on this particular car.

I agree, thats really the only reason that he changed them was just to have bovs........ I know that he has followed the build up on your car alot also......dont get me wrong- they are really cool and his car is really really fast, I know he did it more for the reason of just having bovs. I kinda did it for the same reason too, but at the same time- running more boost on a car with no pressure release system-- I kinda had to do something...so why not
