need opinions!!

i just bought a 93 300zx non-turbo, 5spd and it has 153k miles on it, and i wanted to take out the engine and replace it with a vg30dett, a JDM with 50k miles on it. the "new" engine costs $2000. is this a good idea or should i just keep the original engine and use the 2k to tune it up?

comments and ideas are always welcome.

Go for the VG30DETT. 50K miles isn't much at all and you'll be a lot happier with the TT set up.

Hi i ran a 93 n/a for a while tried dragracing and found i wasnt far behind the tt boys then i fitted a two stage nos system 150hp per stage the first on the button as soon as the car hit 2nd gear the second stage in third and forth gear .12.2 sec 1/4 this wont cost you $2000 you wont get that from a tt with the same cash spent. The tt can only take 150hp @18psi and it goes bang .the pistons are better in the n/a .Gavin

HAHAHAHA POST YOUR SLIPS! You will not run a 12.2 with that set-up you might not even get out of the mid 14s. You were never close to a TT stop lieing maybe other NAs that weren't riced out barely beat you but a TT could easily clean your clock. What are you talking about 2000 U.S. It would take so much money to get an NA in the 12s it wouldn't even be worth it. 150hp per stage? What size were you running now what shot? Your a ricer or a troll stop posting all this B.S. your just some dolt who needs to go learn alot more before posting. AND STOP LIEING!

Whoa you can run a 12.2 in the 1/4 with your 3 15"s neon lighting and chrome bottles? Damn.

I wanna see slips hoe.

"I wasn't far behind the tt boys" yeah you and your massive 150WHP and that's the benefit of the doubt.

there is no way your running a 12.2 in the 1/4 mile with that.....i run a 14.6-14.7 in my n/a and there is no way your cutting off over 2 seconds with that....and you said you ran a stock 93 n/a and wasn't too far behind the TT boys?what were you running?couldn't be anything better then a 15.2

A TTZ can make 650 whp on the stock bottom end. It can do 500 whp for a long time on the stock bottom end. I don't even think you have a Z, I think you are probably too young to drive.
