Can anyone here decipher the stamping codes on the Z32 TT rods. I bought a set from someone that I do know but the codes are diffrent on the rods. Here is what I got
1 rod has(14-c30p40-2)
3 rods has(12-030p-2)
2 rods has(12-030p-1)
I want to make sure he did'nt get things mixed up when he sent them to me. These are supposed to be Z32 TT forged rods that I will be installing in my Z31/T. Are these rods all the same and if not... what are the diffrences. If there not the same I need something to tell him when I call him.
Thanks
Then I'm not quite sure what the problem is. If all stock Z32 TT rods are forged, then it just sounds to me from the codes that you have rods from 3 different engines, or 3 different batches, not sure how Nissan does that. If they all look similar, check tolerances, consistency of weight, and install.
I was also not aware that Z32 rods would fit on a Z31 crank. Thanks for the tip.

I found out thru searching that all z32 rods are the same. TT & N/A. I confirmed this at the Nissan dealer. They all have the same part number. The stamping codes must be some kind of batch number. These rods are all identical in appearance except for the stamping numbers. Z32TT rods can be used on a Z31 crank.. just make sure that you have pistons for floating wrist pins and a 22mm diameter. In other words... when ordering pistons... make sure they are for a Z32 with the correct bore size of your choice
