Does any sort of know how much it would run he to get all the custom work done on a Z32 to fit the Rb25DET in it. I have found the clips for the RB to be around 5g's that is customized clip for a S14 240SX(mounts and everything radiator and everything customzed), would any1 know if it would be higher than 5g's for a Z32, or less.
I have found a Z32 TT, so i am going to do the project on that.
thanks for your opnion.
I am a noob when it comes to carz.

For $5,000, you could take your stock Z32TT and do a -lot- to it. Also, if you're taking the clip to a mechanic to do the swap, you'll be looking at an insanely higher figure than just $5,000. If the Z32's a TT, and the motor's in good shape, you could do intake/exhaust/ecu and drop in turbos good through 700 HP, like the JWT Sport 700's, or if it's a one-time-upgrade deal, intake, exhaust, ecu, fuel delivery, and turbos like the Sport 500's. An engine swap to a smaller engine really doesn't make much sense, regardless of stock hp, or whatever else you're going by, and it definately doesn't make any sense if it's just to put a GT-R badge on the back of a Z32. If it's a Z32 NA, then motor swap away. Personally, I'd still go with an NA-TT VG30DETT conversion, but that's just my .02, though. I've seen Honda's that could absolutely -waste- a stage IV+ Z32TT, but that doesn't make it a good idea to invest that kind of money, either. =)

well i know the engine is smaller and slower than the stock z32TT, i was actually looking for some sites, b/c my eninge has about 160k on it so i was wondering where i can get a deal that i can buy the engine and trans. for cheap with good miles on it, so i can get it swapped out. Also what brand of instake, exaust, and turbos are suppose to be the best compatiable for the 1990 Z32TT. I am not much of a racer, but i like to have power in my car.
If the engine is in bad shape rebuild it with better pistons and such. An RB25 in a Z32 TT is a waste of a Z32 IMO the VG30DETT is an extremely good engine and it is extremely easy to get to 400RWHP with just simple things like intake, exhaust, and computer.

There are a few motor import companies that work off ebay that import JDM VG30DETT engines, but I for one don't trust eBay. I think Z1 Motorsports out of Atlanta has engines, but I'm not sure. Any Z shop would be worth asking. There's ZFever and ZDoc's here in Tampa, Z1 Motorsports in Atlanta, ConceptZPerformance in Arizona...they're all over the place. Just look around and try to find some phone numbers.
As far as bolt on mods (like intake/exhaust/etc), it's more about your preference. JWT makes probably the most recognizable bolt on upgrades for Z32's. They have intakes, turbo's, cams, and they do ECU reprogramming for all your upgrades, and stuff like that. As for intake, as long as it has a decent cone filter (K&N, JWT, Stillen, HKS, Apex'i all use decent ones) and a velocity stack (a metal adapter that connects to the MAF and has a slope on the inside to channel the air into the MAF), you'll be fine. You can get them from just about any Z speed shop for about $100-$120. Exhaust is more or less entirely about your preference and budget. I have a Greddy SP cat-back on my Z. It sounds great, really deep and throaty, but it looks kinda ricey.
I have seen a couple of RB-equipped Z32s in Australia, but it is a tight squeeze. Also the RB extents past the position of the factory radiator so a full custom setup would be required. I would estimate a full RB conversion (clip, parts, and fabrication) would be more in the neighborhood of $10k - $12k which you could do a really well-built and powerful VG30 for that.
For a VG30DETT Z32 front clip or engine set, I recommend Venus Auto in Sacramento CA. http://www.venus-auto.com/inventory/...2-vg30t-fc.htm
The Z32 has a very strong transmission so you may want to consider just getting yours rebuilt but that is just my opinion...
