z32 engine replacement experiences

hey guys. i am a nissan dealer tech who works hard for peanuts. therefore i do a lot on the side. i have this buddy with a twin turbo that needs an engine. i work on cars everyday and i love engine work. problem is that all the guys i know at the shop say z32 motor is a pain to pull and i should not take this job. now i have been working there a while i just havnt ever pulled a z32 motor. how hard can it possibly be? one guy told me you have to pull the plenum and the trans before you can get the motor out. is that for real? ok i am swallowing my pride here asking people on the internet about fixing a nissan. dont tell the guys at work please. heh, i would appreciate your help though. i will be sure to post on other forums as well.

It's true the Z32 engine is a lot harder to work on and pulling out then most cars. You don't need to pull off the plenum and the trans in order the get the motor out.
