Unhappy 300ZX TT engines

I just put an engine in my car, and I don't seem to be getting any oil pressure, does anybody know something about this, is it a common problem, what can be done to raise the oil pressure. desperate need of advice. I got this engine from nippon-motors.com, and it's a clean looking motor, I don't want to take it out again, it's a lot of work.

I'm going to move your post to the "Z Car" Forums, hopefully someone will be able to help you out. Another resource for Z owners that you may want to try is http://www.twinturbo.net or http://www.my350z.com

Hope I was of some help!

Make sure you check that your oil pressure sensor is working 1st.

If it is a freshly rebuilt engine, the oil pump needs to be packed with petroleum jelly first or else it will not prime itself.

Check the oil pressure with good reference gauge first before you do anything.
