Question Rattling noise while idle

Hi guys I have another problem I discovered 2 days ago please advise.

I have the 1990 z32 tt, auto.
The car have really big exhaust and loud since purchased so I never notice this noise.
When the hood is opened, I listen to the engine and it sound perfectly normal but just 2 days ago I had the music off and while opening the door to get in I noticed rattling from the side of the car. I went to the passenger side to listen and I can hear it too.
The sound hear the loudest at both the front fenders of the car, otherwise its hard to notice since the muffler is loud.
Even when I put my ears close to the engine with the hood up, I can't hear it.
When i press on the gas, the engine rev up and that noise is gone and of course while driving.

The sound is not loud, but it sounded like metal clanging together, perhaps the turbo?

What do you guys think?

I did some searching on google since I couldn't find the answer on Nissan forum.
Apparently the ticking/rattling are quite common on all cars.
Some said it could be the belt tensioner, but they said these rattling are just normal.

Any thought would be great.

Thanks

If I were you, I would Lift the car up and check out the bottom while the car is idling.

could be a loose hood hinge...could be a number of things...like sponge says jack it up and have a look around...you could also leave the car off and feel around for something loose....many things it could be

Could possibly be loose heat shields around the exhaust pipes.

KA-T for life, yo!
