Does an exhaust ges temp of about 575 to 675 degrees C seem about right for normal driving conditions?

that seems normal. mine runs 1000 to 1200 F.

That is too high for normal driving unless you're detonating or your sensor is bad.

im running the vg30de. i havent seen any lit on n/a egt but mine is as close to oem as it can possibly be... my home boy is one of the lead techs at my local nissan dealership, so ill check with him and see what the dealer manual says. thanks for your input.
