Temperature gauge went out, also, will 84-89 Digital dash display work in 90 ZX?

I'm having alot of trouble finding a coolant temperature gauge that isn't an aftermarket pod. I would really either like to replace my gauge with one that would go up under my dash than have a dead gauge sitting there with an unsightly pod on top of my dash. Where might I be able to find such a gauge?

My temperature gauge went out on my '90 ZX. I was shopping around and noticed that you can find these on ebay and other places,

Can i just link this straight into my power and interface cables in my dash or are there compatibility issues?

No. Have you tried to replace your temp sensor?

well, what i did was I tested the gauge as per the online manual, by grounding it and seeing if it shot up to full heat, it wouldn't move. So the gauge is bad. There are '90 model full instrument panels an ebay as well (about 150 bucks). But ideally I'd just like to replace the one gauge. I'm a little worried about driving the car around without the gauge, but i have to go to work and stuff. I'm looking at aftermarket options now i suppose, any recommendations?

temp guage
and air fuel guage (which easily hooks into O2 sensor)
