1993 Nissan 300ZX won't go over 2500 RPM??

I have a 1993 300ZX, and It went into some phase, where it won't go over 2500 RPM. I researched on the internet, and found other nissan owners, (not with my car), that had the same problem. They said that the car has entered a "safe mode". Whats wrong with the car? How do I fix it? I cannot drive it anywhere to have it fixed. It also won't accelerate quickly, it will want to stall out. It has a MT.(non turbo)

Check and clean your MAS located just after the air box. Also if you were working on your car prior to this recheck everything you touched?

Any Check Engine light? A malfunctioning MAS should set a CE light. A dead MAS doesn't always set the CE light. Check the MAS plugin for tightness and clean any corrosion.
