hey i stopped by the car today to see if there was any progress and i noticed something... i have good pressure in my pedal when the ignition is off but when i start it up i lose the pressure and the pedal feels loose... is there an electronic component that pressurises anything? i was also told that the rust that was on my pressure plate may have spread to the clutch bearing spring which would explain why it would be getting stuck on engaged and unengaged... what do you make of these developments?

That is because you clutch is vacuum assisted. When the engine is off there is no vacuum.

Here are the two places to bleed from.
