Z32 probems.....again

so i was driving home from work yesterday when my car suddenly stopped after making a funny noise like maybe a vacuum pump came off . I pulled over tried to start the car it ran for a little bit shock alot then it cut off again.started it again same thing happened so i pushed the gas with no luck cut out even faster. Got it towed back to my house there it sits.

next day i checked the fuel filter seems fine gas comes out each end. Did a ECU Diagnostic no luck flashed a 55.

im a little disapointed but not really cause as of now i found a pretty good deal on a tt motor and trans for $6200 installed.

can someone tell me my next step to see what the problem is ?

An engine running a little hot can burn up sensitive electronics, such as a CAS, in a hurry. I wouldn't discount the CAS just yet.....

Correct me if I am wrong, but a fried CAS would not even let the engine start, period. I would start with the injectors and all your vacuum lines.

$6,200.00 might get you a TT, if you're so fortunate. Search/look around, weigh out your options (ins, paint, condition and such). I'd start with vacuum lines myself since you mentioned it, then go from there. Good Luck, Z

the battery was all corroded so i cleaned that up the best i could.hooked it back up battery was dead. Then tried to jump start it no luck. So next I will check all the vacuum line once I find where every one is.so I got nothing but time from here to about June. Thanx for the help peeps

but yea the tt engine has 82,000 miles on it. plus i trust the person putting it in.
here i was hoping to take it out on the track come June (Buttonwillow)

Overheated electronics can become intermittent, sometimes working and sometimes not. Seen it many times before in other vehicles.
