Question 93 300ZX TT newbie

I just purchased a 93 300ZX twin turbo and need a little info/help. What is the stock boost at? What mods should I do first? The car already has a full aftermarket exhaust, including downpipes, rebuilt stock turbo's, and an upgraded ECU. I bought the car for $1000 with the engine toasted. The lower bearings are out. I'm going to purchase a motor from Japan shotrly and swap it in. I'm new to Nissan's and any help suggestions would be appriciated.

The first thing before you go out and try to "hook up" your Z is get it running. you bought it for $1000 for a reason. Have a goal in mind and aim for that. there is no point of having a 500HP daily driver, likewise there is no point in having a 300hp dragster. I say get your engin running and see what it feels like. Work from there.

This is car isn't going to be my daily driver. It's simply a "play toy" in my eyes. I know why it was so cheap.... it needs a new motor. Before I put a new one in it, I figured it would be easiest to perform mods while the motor is out of the car. I've had a 95 Eagle Talon AWD turbo car before, so I have some of the basic's down on how to modify. I would just like some help with the Nissan since it is new to me, and since I haven't had a twin turbo before.

I agree with fifty. You are wise and smart!

As for modding the engine while it's out.
1. UR pulley
2. Injectors 555cc.
3. Water plunem by pass mod.
4. Bigger turbos
5. JWT exhaust manifolds
6. Down pipes.

I know it already has aftermarket exhaust manifolds, down pipes, and a borla exhaust. What turbo's would you recommend? Should I change any of the internals while it's out? what is the stock boost? and what can it handle with stock turbos? and what can it handle with aftermarket turbos? I understand the injectors, and UR pulley but what is the "water plunem bypass mod?

Depends on your budget and HP goal.

Should I change any of the internals while it's out?

Depends on your HP goal.

what is the stock boost?

9.5psi

and what can it handle with stock turbos?

Pump gas 14 psi and race gas 16 psi

and what can it handle with aftermarket turbos?

Pump gas 12~17 psi race gas 17~24 psi.

I understand the injectors, and UR pulley but what is the "water plenum bypass mod?

It gets rid of costly rubber hoses under the plenum and gives you a easier way of maintaining your cooling system.

Thanks for the info! i'm looking at getting upto 500whp. After I buy the new motor, I will have about 2-3K to put into it before I drop it in. I'm hoping that will get me to my goal.
