Here's another one for you guys. My wife was driving the car up the drive way when I heard click sound coming from my passenger wheel. to make sure I told her to go in reverse and drive up forward a few times. I could only hear the click when she would drive forward.
My friend and I jacked the car up. Just enough to get the front wheels off the deck. And their was a little pay in the passenger wheel. I feel that all it needs is to tighten all the bolts on the front suspension and their you go done no more play.
Should I take the car into a suspension shop so they can do that for me. Because I think you have to get the car on the lift to do that right. Or should I get a alinement? What do you guys think? If it's just tighting that up how much will it cost me.
I think that's not the suspension, I think that's a wheel bearing. Clicking noises associated with forward travel are usually bearings. The reason you don't hear it in reverse is because the load on the bearing comes from a different direction then.... Suspensions don't just come loose unless they are wearing out, so I think you need to get a little further into it. Tightening the bolts would create only more problems, not solve any.

The reason I'm saying to tigthen the suspension is because that's what the manual said to do when you have a little play in the wheel. And if it were the wheel bearings I would hear a grinding or growling noise like the manual says. Right?
What would you suggest?

Well eventually the wheel bearing will make grinding noises, but in the begining not as much, sounds like a bearing I would check the tie rod ends too just to be on the safe side!

If the sounds were squeaks then I would suggest tightening bolts to OEM specs. but since you said clicking I have to agree with the other guys, wheel bearing. I suggest taking it to a trusted mechanic.

Ok thanks for the help. I was talking a friend . And he said if the wheel plays up and down then its the ball joint, if it plays side to side then its the tie rod. If it's both then it wheel bearing. Does that sound right?
Do you guys know of any trusted Z specalist in the city of Worcester, Ma. I don't want to take it the dealership anymore. And I have yet to find a shop besides the dealership that will be willing to work on my Z?
