base timing methods?
I am interested in finding out how you enthusiasts when changing the timing belt set the base timing? I have had the local dealer and another local upscale diagnostics shop tell me that they cannot hook a light up to this car. However, I am reading with some excitement that you can make your own set up to do so. How can the dealer do timing belts without this knowledge? I have had the timing belt done recently by a guy who has the snap on tools computer module. I do not know anything about how that rates or anything but just for the info. This car is missing from first pulse on the pedal all of the way up to 2800 rpms and at that point(very abruptly) it feels very good but is still lacking alot of power. I have been able to download some fantastic direction from a few of you very giving members. My biggest problem is that I do not have the set up to do any of these tests myself. I will have to at least find and pay somebody to do this, and I am about out of money here. Im sure everybody can at least relate to that common occurance but anyway, I need to make some very accurate guesses here. Would anybody be interested in helping me over the phone, its much quicker and i'll pay for it. If we solve I'll paypal some money to ya. Gladly. Or I must sell. thank you much for listening to the situation(solvable). Neither professional opinion inclided bad engine at all. It has 98k and looks VERY well kept. 517-402-4380 til midnight.
