After-market computer chip

I saw an after-market chip that you connect to your air intake sensor or coolant temperature sensor. I'm sure you guys have checked these out. Do they increase performance? Do they do any damage?

DON"T DO IT!!!!!

It's a unproven chip. Only buy proven performance mods. A engine rebuild will cost you a lot of money.
