Skyline engine in a 300z

Has anyone heard of someone putting a RB26DETT engine in a 300ZX? I saw it on cardomain.com and I thaught it was a bullshit picture so I was wondering if anyone else has heard of it.

It has been done some but it is time consuming. Check my engines page on the link in my SIG I have 2 I think plus a couple of 2JZ's too, and a couple of 350's/LT1

Well if you did do that wouldnt you still need to use the RB25 tranny? I mean would it be harder to put it in a 300 then a 240? Im asking this cause I sold my 240 and bought a 300ZX and that just seems really cool to do.

yes you would still need to use the RB25 tranny. unless you want to keep the RB26 tranny and go AWD on the Z....

yes it is harder to do in a 300ZX than in a 240Z or 240SX (i've seen both done). we have very little room in our engine bay and the nose on our cars are much shorter to support such a long engine.

and i'll refrain from commenting on the "cool to do" statement.
