Sticky fluid

Hello Folks

I have a 1995 300Z tt. I just noticed a few fluid spots on my driveway. Its not an oil spot, brake fluid or trans fluid. When I touch it, it feel sticky. It's a thick fluid. I am wondering if its coming from the cars shocks. Its coming from the front part of the car. What do you think it is.

Thanks
Larry

My guess would be a bad tension rod if it's up in the front or if it's in the rear it would be a subfram bushing.

I wouldn't rule out any of the car's fluids. Small drops can hit the pavement and have a solvent effect making a gooey substance that's part oil and part driveway (coal tar).

If a shock is leaking, they will usually look very dirty and oily (it should be obvious when you see one).

2nd.
One of my Z's did the same, I couldn't figure out what that sticky crud was all over my garage floor. I crawled under it one day, and sure enough, it was the stff inside the tension rod bushings coming out.
