Z32 Rev Limiter

Im looking for information on the rev limiter for my 94 300ZX 2 seater N/A. I just bought this car not too long ago. So far the upgrades are brembo rotors, injen intake, venom performance piggyback module and ACE Zeus racing rims. im looking to do everything i can with it so any information would be appreciated. Also i have been told that the driver side O2 sensor is going bad, what i have experienced is that it loses almost complete power when its raining, sometimes when its cold, its kinda weird. I can push on the gas and it feels like its pushing back on me. Any ideas? I dont want to spend 300 dollars for new O2 sensors unless i have to. LOL I also just signed up for this forum so if you can tell me how to post my pics of my car i will.

To bypass the rev limiter, you need an ECU upgrade. 94+ ECU's are 16 bit eproms, so the upgrades are a little more costly. No way to avoid replacing the O2 sensor, when it goes, it needs to be replaced.

Enjoy the Z!

With an eprom burner and the right software you can change anything on the eprom ...
Ztech.net used to have all of the information you need. Most people change the rev and rpm limiter..
Just copy your existing chip then go into the software and change the mph limiter and/or rev to whatever you want..

buy 2 passenger side O2 sensors. there is no difference between the sides. you can also get a bosch one from pep boys/kragen. the O2 sensor from nissan are bosch anyways. buy the cheaper one. trust me!

Hey thanks alot for that info. I really appreciate it.

To further update on the power problem. The shop guys think that it might be an electrical problem, since i have experienced power loss only on wet, damp, or rainy days. possibly a short. I dont have the money to have them check out the whole car yet though so this is just a guess. I realized that the aftermarket stillen filter was getting soaked when it rains due to where it sits in the front bumper and thought this might be part of the problem. So i fabricated a rain shield for the intake using fiberglass and installed it. It just happened to be raining quite hard the next day and the car drove perfectly normal all day with no hesitation or power loss at all. So i thought maybe i had been right. however, the next morning on the way to work (which is usually the only time this happens to me, i go in around 4 am) i again experienced power loss and the car just shuts down. First the i can feel it lose power, and then it just completely shuts down and i coast to a stop. If i pull over and wait a few minutes it starts up and runs again fine for a couple of miles and then the same thing happens again. the interesting thing is that that morning, it wasnt even raining, just really foggy. It had driven fine the whole day before in heavy rain (the filter stayed dry!!!) but then died eight times on my 26 mile drive to work. If any one has experienced anything like this before, or has any idea whats up let me know please. Im basically just gonna take it into the shop and get the whole thing checked over.

oh also, and i must be really dumb cause i cant figure out how the hell to post my car pics up. please help..LOL
