Unhappy Weird behavior from 300ZX

Hi,
I just wanted to say im pissed, lol.

For NO REASON AT ALL, my Dome light, Rear right tail light, and TEMPERATURE GUAGE, are not working, I mean like they are not working at the same time. This is the first time ive seen this happen to my car, I do remember fiddling with the fuse box under the hood [ the big fuses ] but I didnt take them out or anything, I just wiggled them around to made sure they werent lose or anything and they werent. But now dome light, rear right tail, nor TEMP GUAGE are working at all. Weird!!!

I checked EVERY SINGLE fuse in the kick panel as well, every single one of them were good and not dead.

Please help as I am selling this car next week and the last thing I want is a not working temp guage, dome, and rear tail. :[

Well those things under the hood are relays not fuses. There is fuseable links in there though with wires running across.

Is there any voltage going to any of it.

Are you sure all the fuses were good?

i dont think theres any voltage going to any of it because none of them are working. I CHECKED EVERY fuse... i took them all out at the same exact time, checked them and put them back in to there specific locations again as well.

Last time I had an electrical problem of that kind, a bunch of the little wires going to different locations in the fuse box had shorted together and to the box itself. This was in a very old Chevy truck, who knows if the problems are similar. They had all basically shorted to ground and the fusbox was very hot.

now you know why the car was so cheap. I bet money the previous owner knew about most of these problems.

There may be an open wire that is grounding after the fuse box. Something is shorting- time to pull the headliner and the carpet to go searching:P That sucks man, youre going to have to take your time and go through all that stuff
