few weeks ago i heard a new wrx imprez running around with a loud!! blow off valve, loved the sound so i want one, i was looking on my car and found the factory setup and i was thinking to give it that aftermarket blow off sound.... take and unbolt the line that directs the excess boost into the manifold and plug the hole on the manifold.. this should do pretty much what an aftermarket on does or will sound like one right????
just a thought...

The little round thing that is on your intake manifold that prevents you from blowing your engine in a case that your wastegate fails and creates too much boost

why dont you do yourself a favor and go to home depot and buy a plug for the pressure relief valve so you can boost higher the 6.5 psi too. You can atleast run more boost until you get a bov. I just hooked my bov the other night and I now can say I dont mind driving to work in the morning- Im sure the novelty will wear off but for now it is bad ass having one. I honestly got it so I dont F*** myself when I start running more boost. A 1/4 of the reason I got it was b/c it scares old people in traffic though too-lol

A BOV MUST go before the Throttle body. There is no pressure surge after the throttle body. A BOV should be for performance, not sound. Get a valve that functions well...not sounds cool.
