Timing belt

im new here so bear with me , i have a1984 nis.300zx is 600.00 to much for a timing belt to get fixed and how do you know forsure that it is the belt :dumbass:

Yeah $600 is way too much for a timing belt , heck , I could get my heads done for that........ $200-$300 for T-belt is about right , considering everything is right there up front and minimal removal of components is required. If the car still runs , the T-belt is not the problem. Is this preventive maintenance or is there a problem with the car. If the T-belt broke , that might explain the $600 , might include some head work.

its the belt and probably some valves if you were driving it
