idling problem??? or something else....

got the car home today the car after running for a bit started idling weird an the voltage gauge started fluctuating from 800 to 200 rpms

lights where dimming n then get bright again.. sounded as if it was going to stall out the oil gauge read 0 lbs/in...there is oil in it maybe a quart low. but when u shut the car off u need to jump it.. but when u start it again its fine... for about 15 min's ne idea's???? its a 86 300zx n/a

Battery or alternator is bad.
