NEWBIE about motors

Alright a friend of mine is wanting to trade me with my Jeep for is 300... so what i am curious about, is it seems to me that it would be best to just throw in the turbo version of the motor in compared to other engines correct? and since it is a non turbo, what would i need for the swap and aprox. how much do you think it would be. Are the tranny's the same for both cars? I have an SRT-4 with a g35R turbo on it making 498hp 506trq but there is no traction in that bad boy. So i'm wanting Rear Wheel now and prolly take that turbo off and put on a 50 trim.

Anyways any help on this would be great i did a little search on the forums already and came across using the VG30et? is that the turbo'ed one? i'm wanting to make around 350-450whp so what kind of mods needs to be done for that? are the internals good for that kind of power?

Sorry for all the quiestions i just want to lay everything out on the table before i park it in my yard and start do the work.

Thanks Guys!

There's a few things required for the turbo engine swap. Most importantly is the wiring harness from a turbo car and the ECU. 1 thing the turbo car has that the non-turbo does not: a knock sensor. Do NOT attempt this swap without a factory service manual. Read it well and thoroughly, you'll know what you need to do to swap the 2 engines. 350 Hp is easily done with that motor and minor mods, 450 to 500 with a few extra mods.
