yet another digital dash question

i did some searching and didnt find what really applied to me. the only thing in my car that doesnt work is the digital dash itself, the trip odometer portion works, and the idiot lights light up, but everything else is still out, ive taken the power unit out and cleaned the pins on it, my question is this. is there someone with a write up about refurbishing this box, not the one on z31.com but something a little more detailed. also i dont want wildbill to do it either as i find his prices to be outrageous personally. pictures of what needs to be done would also be helpful, thanks

I know nothing about refurbishing the unit, however I have all the working parts out of an '85 NA 300zx. I'm swapping a turbo into that car and keeping the cluster with the miles to match the motor. The NA has not run since it's been in my posession, but the whole cluster lights up the way it should, so I assume it works better than what you've got. I'd be willing to sell it to you cheap, but only if you ask nicely.

I'd let it go for around $40, but I'm willing to negotiate, and give or take some for shipping. I'll throw in the control module (the little box under the dash) since I'm not sure what exactly is broken on your setup. PM me with your location & etc.
