hey guys i went down to a muffler shop for an estimate on a 3'' turbo back with a highflow cat and a borla straight through muffler ( he told me this was my best choice for a straight through muffler, let me know if this is good or not). anyway he gave me an estimate of $375.00. is this a good price. and he also told me they can't bend 3'' pipe 90 degrees, is that going to be a problem ? thanks guys.

I was quoted $375 for just 3" catback with highflow cat so that sounds like a good deal to me. Certified Muffler is doing their %15 off sale this month. Mandrel bends for the same price sounds better to me if your looking for performance.
Consider yourself lucky, I just got a quote this morning for a cat-back 3" for $360, and its like the only mandrel bending store in my area. Maybe even my state.

Heck the one from Certified was $300 shipped to my door........

hey will the heat sheilds still be effective or do i need to wrap up my differential with that thermal stuff
The heat shields should still be able to stay in place. I had a touch of rattling around the muffler with mine, but I simply bent it away a bit, problem solved.
I wouldn't worry about the diff so much as the fuel tank, for the heat shields. Heat expansion of gasoline can cause problems if you keep your tank at or near full. Diffs are pretty tough, especially the R200.
That far back past the cat, heat loss through the pipe walls is at about 70%. Unless you're at WOT a lot, but 70% or better when idling or at cruise. So heat shouldn't really be an issue.
