Cruise Control

I have a 2003 x-trail St. I have found the controls for cruise control that connect onto steering wheel online. If I install that will it work or does it actually have to be installed into the car also ?? Or is it as simple as put the control onto steering wheel and it works. Cheers

I wanted the samething for my 07 honda civic, but was told by the civic community that there was no wires for the cruise control.
You ll have to strip the steering column and find an empty connecter.

There's a lot more to it than just the switches. You need all the parts under the hood too.

I haven't seen anything under the hood since the 90 s.
Even the aftermarket products are gas pedal related(fly bi wire)

Perhaps I should have said other related electronics which may or may not be under the hood.
