Unhappy Where does the A/C drip from or do I have a leak

Noticed a puddle today (approx a foot dia) under the engine when we came back to the car, we had done a 10 minute journey with the A/C on and the car had been left for about 20 minutes. Not sure if it was simply a puddle (from all the rain we had, but the area around it was dry. When I looked underneath I actually saw it dripping. Checked the puddle and it appeared to be clear water, no smell so hopefully ruled out anything major like oil but what could this be? Is the the A/C perhaps and if so is this normal for it to drip..sorry if this is a basic question, just got us a bit worried at the moment and we have looked in the manual and cannot find anything about the A/C dripping but I guess it must evaporate and go somewhere?

Thanks

It is quite normal for water to form under a car where the a/c has been used, it is ice melting from the heat exchanger.

Thanks Dave, just to confirm, this would drip from somewhere mid engine at the front of the car? Sounds like nothing to worry about then, but we had not noticed it before so it made us panic yesterday when we saw for the first time

my A/C drips mid engine at rear of engine - sorta mid bulkhead position, if that helps.

Check Post: A/C Condensation inside the vehicle, last post - 11th August 2006. BTW, it is not ice melting from the heat exchanger. There should not be any ice forming. If ice is forming, you may want to check the low and high pressures.
