Talking Newbie

Hey guys, fresh meat here! hehe.

I'm a proud owner of a 2003 2.2 turbo diesel X-trail.

I've done it up with light tints all round, and i've recently installed a 1000rms15" rockford fosgate subwoofer, with DLS components in the doors, and rockford components in the back.

here are a couple pics for your enjoyment and comments.

the install still needs a lil tidying up with the finishing touches.

anyways, i'm hopin to find the Nismo parts for the X-trail, but can't find them anywhere online. hope someone can point me in the right direction of some good aftermarket parts.

Welcome

Welcome Luke and hope you enjoy the forum.

Only one word to describe your sub = WOW

Like the way you've "recessed" it - seems like you also "raised" it - could you still carry some cargo simply by sliding a thin sheet of something on top ??

Is the spare tire still there ??

The X-T looks to be in great condition - how many kms. ?? I note it's RHD - where are you located ??

If you want to provide some info on yourself and your ride you can do it thru the "USER Control Panel" at the top -2nd. from left.

There's a limited supply of accessories for the X-T and most will have to be imported. Your best source for NISMO is probably going to be out of Japan.

Good luck with your new rig and let us know how the hunt for parts develops.

Cheers = Roger

Cheers roger for your kind comments.

I'm from Malta, a small island in the mediterranean, just below sicily. Very small island... 380,000 population, and size is about 30miles by 25 miles hehe, pathetic hehe.

to answer your questions, yes i removed the spare wheel, as with an SUV, it is very rare to get a puncture, and if i do, i'll just call my brother, or friends to bring a spare wheel from my garage. malta is small enough!

i raised the boot floor level by about 2.5 inches because of the massive depth of the subwoofer, but i flush mounted it, so that as you said, i'll just put a thin layer of wood/plastic or cardboard for whenever i need to carry luggage or something....which is rare, if i do carry somethin in the boot, i'll refrain from actually playin my music.

last question, i've got about 34,000km on the clock.

anyways, i'm off to update my profile, and continue reading through all the older threads.

cheers

Hi Luke,

Very nice set-up you have there, but I'll get in trouble if I travel without my spare tyre during my off-road adventures LOL

It's like Murphy's Law, when I have the spare, I never get a flat, but I bet as soon as I take it out, all 4 tyres will probably go flat. hehehe

I still like the way you moulded the speakers into the floor and kept enough luggage room space there.
