I have a '95 Altima GXE and it has seen better days, its not really all that bad, it is just starting to show some wear. It has about 219,000 miles and hasnt had much if any work done to the transmission or engine. My parents gave it to me once I got my liscense a while back and I am wanting to try to "pimp it out". I wanted to get the engine and transmission in great condition before I start improving the looks. so... my questions are:
1. The transmission is 10 years old and has many miles on it, so I would like to have it rebuilt to bring it to like new condition again. How much should this cost?
2. The engine does not appear to have anything wrong with it except a pretty bad oil leak. I usually have to put a quart in it every week or 2weeks. I would aslo like to get it back to like new condition, but not everything will have to be replaced or rebuilt, so what are the common parts that need to be rebuilt and/or replaced and a Price quote.
3. This doesnt have much to do with the previous questions, but while I have the time to post this I figured I would throw it in... The A/C will only work on 4 (hi) the other settings will not work, any ideas? I checked the fuses on the inside as well as under the hood and could not find any blown.
