heater/ac motor speed

I did not search yet just curious if anyone has a cure. My 1-4 speed control doesn't work on my heat control, only 4 works. Anyone know the reason? Not a big deal, this is one of my beater cars, just would like to fix before winter. thanks all.

THis is almost always due to a faulty blower motor resistor. The resistor is mounted near the blower motor and is easy to replace.

if the blower only works on high (#4) its the resistor!

what a co-incidence, only this morning my fan stopped working on the #1 setting. i got my multimeter out and found the #1 fan speed winding in the resistor is stuffed!!! at first i couldn't work out what the thing was, it looks like a printed circuit board.
only 2 screws and a quick disconnect electrical connector to get it out from behind the glove box.
does anyone know what these things are worth to buy from nissan????

I don't know about OZ, but in the US they are between US$15 - $25 depending on the dealer.
