sr20 swap

there is a fwd sr20 right? could you use the tranny in the altima along with the ecu.

Well buddy... You need the engine, the tranny, and the ecu... for all that you might as well turbo your KA

It cost me $1700 for the parts, $1000 for the labor, so about $3000 just to build the block

why didnt you do it yourself? wut did you all use to build the block? wut kind of horsepower does it have?

I did do most of it by myself.. but there were some parts i couldnt do on my own... i used everything new man.... timing chain, gaskets, rods, pistons, rings, valves, etc.... the block isnt the thing that really makes the horspower... its the stuff added to it... it makes about 170 stock block but 270 with my turbo kit at 10psi.. and at about 18psi u could push about 350 easy

the 1993 sentra spec v is the closest to the sr20det that is in the 240's it just doent have the turbo on it i would assume its a bold on just like it is for the sr20det swpas in the nissan 240s you will still need the wireing harness and edu (tune the ecu) but if u just take the sr and build it first then swap it in it will make it easyer i think doing the build and replaceing parts before putting it in... run your heat and ac first do a top mount header for the turbo makes it a shit load easyer to get to if u want to upgrade later-on.
