Need Help!!!

Hey im new here and i have a 95 Altima Gxe, The Car is a dream but i've been havin sum issues with her, After i replaced the aftermarket (Auto Zone) Starter i get a really bad grinding at startup, at first i thought it was because i inserted disaligned or a lil off but then when i inserted it again i still get the same problem...I needed to kno if i got a bad starter from A.Z or might there be a problem with my flywheel??? Please Help!!!!

check to see if the teeth are still in good shape and not all chewed up. theres an inspection plate at the bottom of the engine where you can see into the flywheel area. remove the plate and check the teeth out.

the teeth look to be a little worn compared to the teeth to the starter gear was thinking about changing the flywheel but i have an automatic and a friend of mine has a after market light flywheel that he got for his stick alty and is trying to push it off on me in the worst way would that work would it even make a difference on an automatic

tell him that it wont work whatsoever. the flywheel for an auto is pretty much just a ring gear bolted to the end of your crankshaft. it probably weighs all of about 1.5 lbs anyways. the 2 flywheels are absolutely not interchangeable.
