Would anyone know what would cause the airbag light to start flashing after car has been running for more than 6 seconds on 1997 Quest. It used to go off after a few seconds. Any reply would be appreciated
Thanks Henry

I have the same issue with a pathfinder, Nissan are the only peeps that can tell you the problem, but they want around $70 to tell you
Search the forums using the key words "air bag light". You should find a couple of threads showing how to correct the problem. It's more than likely just a diagnostic error that can be reset using the procedure your search should reproduce.
Just reset the light on my '05 Frontier today after I had some audio work done.
your airbag light when you turn the ignition on will stay on for about 7 seconds, then start to flash right? ok...
When doing this, do not start the vehicle!
sit in the drivers seat, open drivers door, look for the switch that turns on the interior dome light, its on the door frame.
got it? good.... now when you turn your ignition on to the run position, press the switch in and out 7 times before the airbag light starts to flash, after the 7 pushes, turn the ignition back off, then on again and repeat!
Turn off and back on, the airbag light should go out.
Thank you very much for posting this. It worked like a charm?
