Hello I was wondering if you could help me out on a question. My 2000 Xterra will not engage the A/C compressor when I press the A/C button in the car. I tryed replacing the A/C relay and checking all the fuses(that I see on the inside panel and in the engine compartment). After that I did a direct connect with some wires to the relay(A/C) and the A/C compressor kicked in. I realized it needed some refrigerent(measure very low) so I added that and check the guage(Normal) so I now have cold air. Then I put the new relay in and then started the car....pushed the A/C button on the dash and NO cold Air....It doesn't seem to engauge the compressor. Is there a fix for this. Everything else on the car seems to work fine. Thanks
The A/C in my Xterra has recently become very intermittent I am not sure if this is a common problem with the xterra's or if I am just lucky..the compressor seems to not turn on or it goes on and off. Is there something that should be checked first (due to it being a common problem) any help would be greatly apprieciated. Thanks!
