you may have to test drive both. my SL corners so well that I didnt see the need to even bother with and SE.

YES. on dry pavement there's more control on corners and real windy roads since all the wheels are pulling you through (vs RWD and FWD). also rewards in wet weather and especially snow. It's a variable AWD and not a 50/50 split, but you can use the traditional setting in low gear/speeds only (most likely for when you are stuck). 18" wheels only add to the agility.

It makes the CVT act like a 7speed auto tranny:
http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/jk/030402.htm. apparently you can set the ratios and maybe the shift points? guess this is for those who are unhappy with the CVT or want to race it and keep it in one grear ratio longer.
