Hellow all new here and have some questions

Hey all I came across this site while researching a problem I have with my nissan truck..First of all my name is David and I am from Louisiana.

Here is my problem I hope someone can give me insight on:

I recently brought my 1995 nissan truck to my mechanic to haver leaking rear seal changed and upon inspection my mechanic found the crankshaft bearings to be going bad. I went ahead and had them changed. Upon picking up my truck I noticed that it now sounds louder than a diesel. I was told it was the lifters but that there was nothing to worry about. My mechanic said that after 1000 miles change the oil and use 2 quarts of cd-2 and 2 quarts sae 30 oil. My mechanic say's he believes it should quiet down thereafter. I have since changed the oil as he said to and I still sound like a diesel. Now why would the mechanic have to had fooled with the lifters in the first place??I think they are hydraulic and should have charged up by now..Anyhow and advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
