I have an '05 Pathfinder that I purchased one month ago and have had a couple of problems that I want to see if anyone else has experienced.
1) On a cold start, it would tick for a few minutes until the car got warm. The dealership has replaced the drive belt
2) A/C dripping onto the exhaust causing a sizzling sound. Dealership thinks that is normal, however I have a hard time believing that the engineers at Nissan designed it that way.
3) I have the standard factory stereo in the XE model and my AM reception is horrible. It basically has static all the time. I saw where there was a TSB regarding this, however dealership says my PF does not apply to that TSB, so they are ordering a new radio.
Has any other '05 PF owner experienced these problems or is it unique to my vehicle? Thanks for the input.
I have a 05 Pathy SE with Premium Package and it seems my truck runs perfect without any of the problems you mentioned. For the condensation of AC dripping onto exhaust, I will take a look tomorrow. Since I have the Bose system, I cannot give you opinion on that. I only have problem with my parking brake and still waiting for the part to come.
I have not noticed any of those issues. I have the premium package also so I can't comment on the AM reception.

Thanks for everyone's replies. I just got a call from the dealership here in Houston, TX, where my Pathfinder has been for the last 8 days. Not sure really what the hold-up was, but at least they gave me a loaner Armada while mine was in the shop. They have told me my Pathfinder is ready to be picked up.
They have replaced the drive belt, replaced a hose for the a/c condensate dripping onto the exhaust and replaced the radio, which I think took 4 or 5 days to get shipped. Additionally, the first time I took it to them, they brought out my Pathfinder for me to drive home, only to my surprise there was a dent in the right front quarter panel in the crease above the wheel well. I brought it to their attention, so their body shop has been fixing that as well. Needless to say, it has been quite an "experience". I hope all the issues are resolved and I don't have to be back to service until its time for that first oil change. I'll keep everyone updated. I think its going to be a great truck. Coming from a 2002 Ford F-150. Thanks again.
Well all of the fixes are good except for the radio. No more ticking and no more sizzling sound. The radio works a little better, but I still get really, really poor AM reception and at times cuts out completely in the middle of uptown Houston, Texas, the 4th largest city in the US. A Honda Accord also with the antenna in the window like my Pathfinder gets perfect reception where mine cuts out. Can't understand it, unless its just a cheap stock radio that isn't worth a crap. I know Kenwood makes the stock stereos for the Honda Accord. Not sure what the brand is in my Pathfinder.
Anyone else out there with the stock radio having these problems? Also, does anyone know of aftermarket stereo options for the '05 Pathfinder? I'm obviously going to have to rip out this stock one and get something decent. Thanks in advance for the help.

My 2005 Pathfinder is jsut over 1000 miles and am very watching out for 'faults', I want to find out what the flutter description as engine noise. I beleive mine is smooth but not as smooth as my previous V8. The different sound can be closely described as similar to the opposed twin of V4 engines, just maybe 5 % similar. I read here the flutter involved units built before Jan 2005, mine was made Apr 2005. Can anyone enlighten me?

If you have the flutter noise you would know it....... it is very annoying, it sounds like really bad detonation... mine happened as I drove off the lot.....
